Improved Maintenance Safety

Double Block and Bleed Configuration from müller co-ax gmbh

A double block and bleed valve (DBB) is a unique valve arrangement that provides double blocking, as well as relief and bleed functions, to ensure safe maintenance and prevent cross-contamination in piping systems.

Whenever complex, dangerous, or high-pressure media are used, the valve technology is decisive for operational and maintenance safety. Whether for the production of energy, the chemical and petrochemical industries, gas supply networks, or in hydrogen applications: a generic shut-off valve is simply not enough in most cases.

For service and inspection work, pipes must be reliably isolated, and residual pressures must be checked and reduced without any risk of accidental release. Especially with high-pressure gases such as hydrogen and other critical media, a double shut-off is a crucial safety measure.

With the double block and bleed (DBB) configuration of our equal-pressure coax valves, we offer a well-thought-out solution. Two independent shut-off valves, combined with an integrated blow-off function, enable complete system separation, controlled pressure relief in the intermediate space, and maximum safety for maintenance and inspection work.

This safety concept works across industries.
