2/2 Way coaxial Externally Controlled Valves

The 2/2-way externally controlled valves are pneumatically or hydraulically operated valves with two connections and two switching positions. The actuation of these valves are usually via the attached 5/2-way valve or an existing valve terminal.

Switching times can be set as required using fine throttles on the pilot valve. Switching delays of up to three seconds when opening and closing are possible. This prevents hydraulic pressure surges in pipeline systems. Due to the unique coaxial design, most valves already work from 3 bar control air pressure, whereby the air consumption per stroke is sometimes only 1/10 of the value of products from well-known competitors. By using the coax valves, the consumption of expensive compressor air is minimized; this makes these valves particularly energy-efficient.

Due to the very high switching force, the externally controlled valves can be equipped with additional dirt wipers. They are optionally also ideally suited for the use of sticky or abrasive media such as ceramic slip, glue, paste, paint, or grinding emulsion/oil.

Valves of this series can be used in ATEX zone 1/category 2.

The externally controlled valves are available in a nominal width of 8 to 250 mm. The pressure range extends from vacuum to 100 bar medium pressure. The tightness of the valve seat is guaranteed with the control air or hydraulics switched on up to the full pressure stage, in accordance with DIN 12266 - regardless of whether the valves are operated in the preferred or the opposite direction. When control air or hydraulics are switched off, the seat tightness in the opposite direction is a maximum of 16 bar. The technical details can be found in the respective data sheets. The bandwidth of the flow factor (KV value) ranges from 1.6 to 650 m³/h. Depending on the nominal size, the valves are available in sleeves, flanges, or special designs.

Options

The valves can be optionally equipped e.g. with alternative pilot valves, limit switches, mounting brackets, or various plug connections such as M12x1 DESINA/VDMA.
